An artist and communication designer, Barbara deals with Brand Image and training on national and international territory, in particular China and India, places from which he draws life lessons and enrichments for a conscious mediation with western living.
Professor of Art Direction at the IED of Milan, of Advertising Design at Donghua University in Shanghai, of Visual Design at the Civic School of Cinema in Milan “Luchino Visconti”, of Communication Design at the Premium Masters at POLImi and at the Training School of Fondazione Italia Cina .
From 2014 to 2018 she has been Vice-President of the Triennale Design Museum, she is actually a member of the Board of the Achille Castiglioni Foundation and a member of the Board of the Permanent Museum of Milan. In 2017 she was appointed Ambassador for the “Italian Design Day” by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage with destination Cairo and Egypt and in 2018 with destination Shenzhen and South China. In 2017 He represented Italy in the XVI Italian Language Week in Cairo.
He has lectured on Italian Design at the University of Helwan and at the University of Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt and at the University of Communication and Journalism of Xiamen, China. She was a Member of the International Jury for the 2018 edition of the Global Design Award of the City of Shenzhen, China.
Graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, she has exhibited in New York, San Francisco, Barcelona, ​​Lima, Zagreb, Dubrovnik, New Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Jaipur, Milan, Rome, Turin and in many other Italian cities. Her works can be found in the Farnesina Collection in Rome, in the artistic heritage of the Province of Milan and in La Permanente Museum in Milan.
She is author of the essay entitled “The neon ideogram. Communication, publicity and lifestyle in China”, published by Lupetti Editions.
