“Risvegli” (Awakenings), Barbara Pietrasanta’s exhibition at Sala Veratti, Varese
From 4 to 26 April 2026 Sala Veratti in Varese hosted “Risvegli” (Awakenings), a solo exhibition by Barbara Pietrasanta, creative director and co-founder of Anyway, curated by Francesca Pensa. Under the patronage of Regione Lombardia, the City of Varese and the Museo della Permanente in Milan, the exhibition presented about 24 oil paintings devoted to awakening, the suspended moment between the ecstatic world of the night and the start of the day: female figures wrapped in sheets, monochrome floors, a cup of coffee as a call back to reality.
Barbara Pietrasanta’s works are held in public collections such as the Museo della Permanente in Milan and the Farnesina Collection. Full details of the exhibition are on the artist’s website.
